In April of 2011, I told my mom that I had a feeling I was going to meet the man of my dreams during my trip to NYC. Wouldn't you know it, a nice guy in a suit and tie asked me to join him for cocktails one evening. I thought to myself, "could this be him?" Nope. I decided against it, and instead, I went to my hotel room and signed up for a membership on Match.com. I took a silly little quiz to help me find my most compatible matches. In my top five list was JHunter75. Supposedly, we were 97% compatible (later, I discovered that the lost 3% was because of my love for dancing and popular music, and "guitar players can't dance"). I loved his profile. It made me laugh, and it was different from all the others. He looked very handsome in all of his pictures. I guess he liked my profile too because we ended up talking the rest of the night. I couldn't wait to meet him, so we met face-to-face just two days later in Fishers, IN on April 14, 2011. As soon as he walked into the restaurant, we both locked eyes and smiled from ear to ear. I stood up to greet him, and he gave me a gentle hug and whispered, "wow, you're more beautiful than your pictures." My heart melted, and we sat there for four whole hours getting to know each other, laughing, and enjoying each other's company. As we talked every day after that, we learned that we had a lot more in common...from our family values to our love for California, he was definitely my perfect match. My prophecy was correct...I HAD met the man of my dreams while I was in NYC, and now, we are getting married!

We are getting married Thursday, June 28th at 11AM on Luau Beach at the Polynesian Resort in Orlando, FL. We decided to go away to get married, but we wanted our kids to be a part of it, too. Since we were already taking this "magical" vacation, we decided it was the perfect opportunity to exchange wedding vows and to include Hailey, Ethan, and Sophia in a blended family ceremony. Shhh...it's a secret! We are going to surprise the kids the morning of the wedding because they are SO excited to become brother and sisters. |
We want to take this opportunity to say thank you to all of our family and friends who have supported us from the beginning. We know you can see how very happy we are, and how excited we are to become a family. Without your love and support, we wouldn't be as strong as we are. We love you all! |
